People have been gathering together to celebrate and have fun since the dawn of humanity. Nightclubs are a more recent invention, with old-fashioned versions of these featuring music played by bands, and, later on, jukeboxes.
The clubbing era began in around 1900, and venues have undergone rapid changes since then. Nowadays they’re a dime a dozen, and can be found pretty much anywhere. There are a few out of the ordinary, however, and their elite status is clearly indicated by how pricey it is to visit them!
1. Singapore’s Pangea Club
Singapore is one of the world’s wealthiest countries, so it makes sense that the most costly club on earth is located here. The Pangea Club is in Marina Sands Bay, one of the most famous casinos in the world.
But you’ll need to prepare for your trip with a wins from a lucky online betting streak, a recent inheritance, or your life savings, since you’re looking at spending a minimum of around US$20 000. That’s just the entrance fee, too, so if you’re going to have a drink you’ll need to take a little extra!
2. The LIV Club, in Miami
Miami is famous for its pumping nightlife, and has earned a fantastic reputation for its beaches, restaurants, and high-end entertainment. The entry fee for the LIV Club is steep, but the ambience inside more than makes up for it. Consider yourself warned, however. A bottle of champagne sells for roughly US$100 000.
3. Turkey’s Halikarnas Club
Extroverts will be in their element at the Halikarnas Club, as there are usually around 10 000 people for them to get to know, all partying up a storm.
When you need to take a break from the crowd, the beach is right there, and a relaxing stroll might be just what the doctor ordered as you wait to you get your second wind. It’s the biggest open-air nightclub in Europe, and has built its reputation on excellent music, dynamic dance shows, and incredible entertainment.
4. Hakkasan Nightclub, Las Vegas
Drinks at Sin City’s Hakkasan Nightclub cost more than your branded shoes and bags did, and that’s the way the celebrities and big-name personalities who frequent it like it. Located in the MGM Grand Hotel, you can look forward to performances from elite entertainers, top-level dining facilities, and the kind of luxury most mere mortals can only dream of.
Reserving a table is a must, as its popularity means you’ll end up standing around all night if you don’t, and be sure to dress to impress.
5. Barcelona’s La Fira
Prepare to set your night on fire at Barcelona’s La Fira. Modern commercial music is pumped out at all hours, and you can sip your expensive champagne while you enjoy all the latest hits. With mirrors that distort your reflection all over the place, La Fira is a fun night out, and a must for any visit to the Spanish city.
6. Treat Yourself
All of these nightclubs offer a truly one-of-a-kind experience, so if you’ve got the money, we suggest you get to it! One can’t, after all, put a price on adventure, and that is without a doubt what you’ll be getting at any of these terrific nightspots.
